Phil & Pam just finished leading a week long Christian Camp hosted by Midland Ministries. Each day they shared the Christian way to deal with family and the world with 70 fourth through sixth graders. Of course, the main message was the importance of accepting Jesus as Savior.
"To see a little guy run toward you, slap a high-five and say, 'Guess what, I just asked Jesus into my heart!', what could be better than that?" Pam beamed.
Phil added, "One thing we love about this camp, it's not your typical bunch of church kids. Most of these young people are not churched and come from very bad family situations. They are so hungry for affection and acceptance, and very open to the message of Jesus, which many are hearing for the first time."
At the close of the week, Phil & Pam felt led to send the kids home with a special gift, a free copy of their new "YOU MOVE ME" CD. "Financially it was a tough decision," said Phil. "We just spent over $21,000 making the CD and are a long way from breaking even, but we know this could be an invaluable tool to keep these kids focused on Jesus and to share their faith with family and friends. We are trusting God will honor our decision."
